How to calculate how much decking you need

1. Find the surface area
90234226Start by measuring the length and width of your outdoor space. To find the total area, multiply the length by the width. If needed, you can then calculate any areas to be subtracted from the total, such as pillars or corners, using the same method.
2. Calculate how many packages you need
Look for the total area included in each pack of floor decking, then divide that number by your surface area. For example, square tiles come in packs that cover 0.81 square metres, so you need to divide the surface area you found by 0.81. Don’t forget to round up the number so you have enough tiles.
