Stations of Joy

IKEA’s “Stations of Joy” program has been running for over a decade with the aim of supporting municipal nurseries and kindergartens by designing well-planned and functional spaces where children spend a large part of their day.

So far, IKEA has supplied products to 98 centers throughout Greece, helping to create safe spaces where children can enjoy their time even more.

Launched in 2013 as part of the Fourlis Group’s overall Corporate Social Responsibility program, this initiative is implemented in collaboration with Municipal Authorities. For each center included in the program, experienced IKEA interior designers conduct a thorough assessment and, working closely with educators and municipal representatives, select the interventions needed to meet the specific needs of each facility.

Since 2013, more than 4,212 children have had the joy of seeing their centers renewed with new furniture such as cribs, tables, chairs, and shelves, as well as toys, linens, and educational materials. The value of the products provided to improve these facilities exceeds €1.065.500 (retail value).

At IKEA and Fourlis Group, we believe that children are the future. That’s why we continue our dedicated efforts to provide them with a better daily life.
