Our Sustainability Strategy - People & Planet Positive describes our ambitions and commitments - in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Our Commitments

IKEA stands for sustainability worldwide and has been for a very long time. However now we are really getting started. Some of our goals that we want to achieve are to go climate positive and to produce our products only from renewable or recycled materials.

Each of the focus areas outlines our commitments to achieving our ambitions. How sustainable is IKEA? With veggie hot dogs and kitchen fronts made of recycled plastic bottles, we want to inspire change. Because, as Ingvar Kamprad said: ‘No method is more effective than the good example.
