IKEA, member of the FOURLIS Group, proceeds with actions for environmental restoration after the wildfires.
IKEA, member of the FOURLIS Group, supports Greek society in this extremely difficult situation our country is facing. We are standing next to our fellow citizens that have witnessed their everyday lives, properties and land being destroyed by the raging fires.
Meanwhile, we are joining forces with the state in an effort to restore the natural environment and financially support areas that have been affected by the fires.

IKEA proceeded with a deposit of 100,000 euros in the special State Aid Account (Bank of Greece) dedicated to support programs and actions.

We are committed to supporting the restoration and reconstruction of the natural environment through the actions of the Hellenic Society of Environment & Culture in the affected areas.

We are aiding volunteer groups dedicated to forest protection and firefighting in Evia for their supply of special equipment.

Moreover, we are funding the WWF Hellas Program for managing the effects of forest fires emphasizing on Evia. Through our collaboration with WWF we are supporting the actions of ANIMA organization for the rescue and treatment of wild animals in Evia and other areas affected by the fires. To that end, IKEA will be offering 10% of each purchase of rechargeable batteries and chargers for the next 3 years.
