Function came first when I designed IKEA PS 2026 chair bed – but comfort and fun weren’t far behind. By day, it’s a cosy spot for naps, gaming or reading. By night, it unfolds into a bed – ideal for small spaces or surprise sleepovers. With its low seat and cushions cradled in tubular steel, the design is a nod to 1970s IKEA living room furniture. Form and colour are central to my design philosophy, and I love how they make the chair bed feel modern, inviting and playful.
