Down and feathers are natural materials that sometimes have a slight smell. The smell is harmless and fades over time. Airing or washing , and drying it thoroughly in a dryer, helps the smell fade faster.
Tumble dry after washing until the filling is completely dry.
Our waterfowl filling is recycled and contains a mix of feathers and down from aquatic birds like geese and ducks. It has excellent insulation properties and is especially suitable for pillows and duvets.

The down and feather we use is recycled or comes from meat production at traceable farms and slaughterhouses.

How to care for your down/feather pillow
With a little care, you can prolong the life of your down/feather pillow and keep it fresh. The filling has a natural smell which can be reduced by airing or washing. Wash the pillow separately with a mild detergent (1/3 of the normal amount) on delicate cycle at 60°C. Avoid bleach/fabric softeners. Tumble dry immediately on low heat. A dryer ball or a high-quality tennis ball in the dryer make drying mor efficient. Air your pillow regularly, if possible, in direct sunlight.
