SCOPE AND CONDITIONS OF THE PROGRAM
The IKEA for Business loyalty program (hereinafter referred to as “IKEA for Business program” or “program” or “IKEA for Business rewards program”) has been created by the company with trade name “HOUSEMARKET SOCIETE ANONYME FURNITURE AND HOUSEHOLD PRODUCTS TRADING COMPANY”, with registered seat in Peania Attica, Athens International Airport “El. Venizelos”, Building 501, Airport Commercial Park (hereinafter referred to as “HOUSEMARKET S.A.” or “Company”). The program is intended for those HOUSEMARKET S.A. customers who are legal entities and/or natural persons conducting a business activity or a liberal profession, with a business VAT Registration Number (hereinafter referred to as “business customers”, ”IKEA for Business members, “members”) and entails the recording and analysis of purchases performed by such entities/persons as members of the program within the context of their business activities. The purpose of the IKEA for Business program is to reward the HOUSEMARKET S.A. business customers for choosing HOUSEMARKET S.A. for the purchases of professional equipment. It also allows them to receive preferential information about its products and services. The Ikea for Business program also aims to record, analyze and research the purchasing trends of business customers (i.e. categories of products selected, frequency of store visits, most preferred products, price range, response to general and personalized offers, etc.), in order to improve our client relationship management and be able to provide products and services that best suit our customer base.
1. MEMBER REGISTRATION
Legal entities and natural persons who conduct business activity or a liberal profession, with a valid business VAT Registration Number can register in the IKEA for Business program. Specifically, entities that may register in the program include active companies, private or capital companies as well as unions, partnerships, enterprises, shared capital companies, Social Cooperative Enterprises (SCE) Civil Societies, Associations and other unions based in the Hellenic Territory, as well as public/state agencies, private companies and freelancers-professionals, as these terms are defined by the Greek legislation in force.
Registration to the program requires the submission of the following information: VAT number, business name, business e-mail address, business address (street and number, prefecture, city and postal code), form of business, business tax office, business activity and business sector. Acceptance of the present terms and the privacy policy is also necessary. Membership registration is performed exclusively online at www.ikea.gr. In order to complete the registration, the information mentioned above must be submitted; in addition, a declaration form via www.gov.gr or an up-to-date copy of the active business registry details should be sent. It is noted that the applicant must fill in the relevant field its VAT number, so the other information (such as business tax office, business name, business address, street and number, prefecture, city and postal code, form of business, business activity) is automatically retrieved by the AADE systems. The applicant is also required to fill in its business e-mail address, business sector and business registry number, depending on the form of its business entity. The member acknowledges and accepts that it is solely responsible for any use of its account, the app and the member card. Any such use is presumed to be made by the member itself or based on its valid authorization. The member also accepts that the Company is not liable for and that the member is fully bound by any communication conducted via the member's registered (either at the time of registration or at a later point) electronic address (e-mail).
MEMBER REGISTRATION APPROVAL
Subsequently, and within 15 days of receiving the above registration form, the Company verifies the validity of the applicant’s business data via publicly accessible business information service, and approves or declines the applicant’s membership.
Until the applicant’s membership is approved, applicants may collect points from their purchases of HOUSEMARKET S.A. products and benefit from offers available to the members of the program, both in the physical stores of HOUSEMARKET S.A. and the IKEA e-shop (www.ikea.gr), provided that they have received a plastic card or an electronic card has been issued to them. However, they cannot benefit from redemption privileges which apply only to the registered members. The applicant’s membership is not completed or is not approved in the following cases: the declared VAT is not found in the Business Registry, the declared VAT does not exist or the legal entity is currently at the creation phase, the VAT number is inactive (e.g. has been deleted or is to be deleted), the applicant’s business name is different to the business name declared on the registration form, the required document(s) attached do(es) not meet the requirements set or the business does not appear to be active (e.g. the VAT number in the registration form is different to the VAT number declared in the registration form). In such cases, the applicant receives a non-approval email and is advised to contact the HOUSEMARKET S.A. customer service department. In the event that within three (3) months of the registration or the first transaction with the card (whichever comes first) the card is not approved, said card is permanently deactivated, and any points earned will be erased.
ISSUANCE AND USE OF THE MEMBERSHIP CARD
- Each Ikea for Business card is issued by and remains a property of HOUSEMARKET S.A. Its bearer is obliged to return it at any time upon our request.
- The card and its benefits are not transferable.
- Ikea for Business card can be either plastic or electronic. An electronic card is provided upon the online registration on the HOUSEMARKET S.A. website ikea.gr after the submission of the member's data. Plastic cards are available for pick-up only at the HOUSEMARKET S.A. physical stores but syncing/linking said card with the member's registration data takes place exclusively online via the website of HOUSEMARKET S.A.
- Only one card can be issued per VAT number.
- Each member is entitled to use its member card in the HOUSEMARKET S.A. stores only in accordance with the present Terms and Conditions. The present Terms and Conditions may be amended by HOUSEMARKET S.A. at any time and shall be valid upon notification to the member (via the contact information submitted during the IKEA for Business card registration) or/and as published on the IKEA for Business website, https://www.ikea.gr/en/ikea-for-business/or/and by in-shop announcements.
- The IKEA for Business card is not a credit or debit card. The member may not use the card to make monetary transactions. The member can only benefit from the IKEA for Business rewards program as set by HOUSEMARKET S.A. In order for a member to be able to redeem earned points, the membership approval process must have been completed. In order to redeem earned points in the HOUSEMARKET S.A. physical stores, the member should display either the plastic card or the electronic card through the mobile phone application "IKEA Greece", accompanied by a statement of the VAT number linked to the card.
- The IKEA for Business card, the number of points in the card and the purchase discounts cannot be exchanged or redeemed for money. The IKEA for Business member shall only be entitled to discounts and these discounts shall be calculated based on its earned points.
- The IKEA for Business card and the current rewards program are valid only in the HOUSEMARKET S.A.’s stores network in Greece.
- HOUSEMARKET S.A. has the right to terminate the IKEA for Business program at any time, to decline the issuance of an IKEA for Business card for any reason and cancel any valid IKEA for Business card.
- The IKEA for Business card (both plastic and electronic) can be used only on purchases which are invoiced to the business VAT number linked to the card. The IKEA for Business card cannot be used together with the IKEA Family card.
- One (1€) Euro purchase equals to 5 points awarded to the member’s card, provided the member issues an invoice receipt for its purchase and uses its card at the same time. Services, such as the assembly service, the transport and delivery of goods service etc., are excluded from the collection of points.
2. MODIFICATION - EXPIRY - TERMINATION
- HOUSEMARKET S.A. has the right to terminate at any time, without prior notice or justification, the present contractual agreement and prohibit any use of the IKEA for Business card. In the event of the IKEA for Business member does not comply with its obligations as set in the present terms or in case HOUSEMARKET S.A. suspects unauthorised use or abuse or attempts of fraudulent activity through the card, the card will be terminated, all the points shall be erased, and all benefits shall be removed.
- The IKEA for Business card grants to the member the benefits of the program for as long as it is a valid member of program and for as long as the program is in effect. HOUSEMARKET A. reserves the right, in its absolute discretion, to modify this period of time and is entitled to unilaterally amend any provision of the present terms, including the IKEA for Business rewards program. HOUSEMARKET S.A. also reserves the right to amend or/and terminate at any time the IKEA for Business program. Any such amendment shall be communicated to the members by appropriate means at the contact information they have provided, or/and be announced in the physical stores or/and published on the website ikea.gr. The member recognizes and accepts that the IKEA for Business rewards program is a promotional service so no member will be entitled to any claim against the HOUSEMARKET S.A. regarding any amendment or changes or even the termination of the IKEA for Business program and the IKEA for Business cards.
- The IKEA for Business points acquired by the IKEA for Business member are valid for twenty-four (24) calendar months starting from the date of the respective transaction that generated these points (for example all the IKEA for Business points generated from purchases in HOUSEMARKET S.A. stores on the April 10th 2020 shall expire on the April 10th2022). To ensure optimal performance of this contractual agreement and the transactions with the IKEA for Business members, HOUSEMARKET S.A. shall, at regular intervals, communicate to the members the available IKEA for Business points and their expiration date by email, to their business e-mail address provided upon registration with the IKEA for Business program. The member will be informed by email no later than three (3) months before the expiration of the card points. Members who have stated that they do not wish to receive commercial communications from HOUSEMARKET S.A. will still receive the abovementioned communication because this informational communication serves the contractual relations between the Company and the member.
- Without prejudice to IKEA for Business member‘s opting-out from marketing communications, whenever a member requests a restriction to or objects to its data processing and data analyzing or requests deletion of its data, then HOUSEMARKET S.A. reserves the right to delete at its discretion the member’s account and its associated IKEA for Business card, since, otherwise, the IKEA for Business rewards program and the present contractual agreement cannot be performed.
- In the event of deletion of a member account from the IKEA for Business program, HOUSEMARKET S.A. will retain all member’s data for thirty (30) days from the day of its deletion. All IKEA for Business members should also take into account that even after that period, HOUSEMARKET S.A. will retain tax data in order to address any tax issues, as well as some essential membership data in order to be able to demonstrate the lawfulness of data processing and HOUSEMARKET S.A.’s legitimate interests (e.g. business e-mail address, VAT Number in encrypted form, the date of registration and deletion from the program, the deletion request and the contact information for marketing communications, as long as the member has not objected to such communication).
- If the IKEA for Business card remains inactive for a period of three (3) years (starting from the last transaction performed using the IKEA for Business card) the card shall be automatically To ensure optimal performance of this contractual agreement and the transactions with the IKEA for Business members, HOUSEMARKET S.A. shall, at regular intervals communicate (and at the latest three (3) months before expiration) to the members the available IKEA for Business points and the date they expire by email to their business e-mail address provided when registering in the IKEA for Business program. Members who have stated that they do not wish to receive commercial communications from HOUSEMARKET S.A. will still receive the aforementioned communication.
- The deletion of the IKEA for Business member means the automatic deletion of the member's account from the IKEA website. The deletion of the IKEA for Business member does not affect any member’s account in the IKEA Family program and/or in the IKEA e-shop.
- In case of loss, theft or destruction of the card, the member must immediately notify the Company by email at ikeaforbusiness@ikea.gr. The new plastic card may only be picked-up at IKEA physical stores and activated exclusively through the member's account at www.ikea. gr by logging in “IKEA for Business”.
- Members of the IKEA for Business program who also participate in the IKEA Family program have the right to transfer the points collected using the IKEA Family card into the IKEA for Business card only once. Upon such transfer, IKEA Family card points are deleted, and this card is deactivated. The added points into the IKEA for Business card will expire 2 years from the day they were transferred. The process of requesting the transfer of points and deactivating the IKEA Family card may only be performed online on ikea.gr by logging-in the IKEA for Business member account. The reverse transfer, that is the transfer of the points collected using the IKEA for Business card to IKEA Family card cannot be performed.
- In the event of changing the business email address, the member will have to repeat the confirmation process for its new business email address. Any activity carried out using the IKEA for Business member card, either in stores or online, through the member's account or through the member's declared electronic address (email), is presumed to be performed by the member itself or a person acting lawfully on its behalf. In the event that the member is a legal person, any activity shall be performed only by the legal representative or the legally authorized natural person. The legal person-member is solely responsible for any action of its legal representative. HOUSEMARKET S.A. reserves the right to seek information at any time, relevant documentation as well as to verify the provision of such authorized access to the member's account and the identity of the authorized persons, and the member is required to provide it. In any case, HOUSEMARKET S.A. shall not be liable in any way to the member when the cardholder or anyone who has access to the member's account was not authorized for the actions taken on behalf of the member or exceeded their authorization.
- Any action concerning the membership that cannot be performed online through ikea.gr or via email, should be performed at the HOUSEMARKET S.A. physical stores only by persons who legally represent the member. Such representation is valid upon demonstrating an ID card and a legal representative’s authorization document.
3. PRIVACY POLICY
This Privacy Policy applies in principle to natural persons, in relation to the processing of their personal data and does not cover the processing of personal data relating to legal entities, in particular enterprises or entities established as legal persons, including the business name, type and contact information of the legal entity. It will, however, apply to those members who do business in a manner that renders them Data Subjects under the applicable personal data legal framework, such as self-employed persons and sole proprietorship business.
3.1 Legal Basis, Purposes and Transparency of Data Processing, Data Accuracy
The company with trade name “HOUSEMARKET SOCIETE ANONYME FURNITURE AND HOUSEHOLD PRODUCTS TRADING COMPANY”, with registered seat in Peania Attica, Athens International Airport “El. Venizelos”, Building 501, Airport Commercial Park is the Controller of the personal data of the IKEA for Business member and determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data on its websites and in its physical stores.
HOUSEMARKET S.A. informs the member and the member confirms is fully aware of the following:
3.1.a. HOUSEMARKET S.A. relies on the following legal bases for the processing of the member’s personal data related to the IKEA for Business card:
- Performance of contract (Article 6, paragraph 1, letter (b) of the GDPR): The processing of personal data provided by the member when registering in the IKEA for Business program as well as the data generated by the member’s transactions are necessary in order to serve the purposes of the IKEA for Business These purposes are: a) the member's participation in the IKEA for Business program and the relevant recording and analysis of purchases performed, b) the member’s reward with points, discounts and privileges from the purchases and c) the member’s notification about its status, points, related transactions and the terms of use of its card.
- Legitimate interests (Article 6, paragraph 1, letter (f) of the GDPR): Some processing of the personal data is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by HOUSEMARKET S.A., such as the improvement of the services provided through the analysis of the purchasing trends and preferences of business customers, the detection of attempted fraudulent or improper use of the IKEA for Business card, any data transfer and our cooperation with the judicial and regulatory authorities for safeguarding and supporting the general interest of the HOUSEMARKET S.A.
It is also in HOUSEMARKET S.A.’s legitimate interests to communicate to the IKEA for Business members its offers and products via telephone, regular mail, e-mail and the customer service department using their lawfully obtained contact information, according to article 11 par. 3 of L.3471/2006 in the context of their contractual relationship and for as long as the member does not opt-out to such communication (in accordance with the aforementioned provisions). This communication may include privileged and personalised information on HOUSEMARKET S.A.’s products, special or general offers, promotions, competitions or surveys, in order to improve its products and services. This communication may be continued after the deletion of a member account from the IKEA for Business program, as long as the member does not opt-out to such communication. The IKEA for Business members can choose which means of communication may be used by HOUSEMARKET S.A. through their account at https://www.ikea.gr/en/ikea-for-business/ or by sending an email from the business email address provided when registering at the electronic address ikeaforbusiness@ikea.gr. Any such changes to these preferences have an implementation time of up to 30 days, due to technical reasons. It has to be noted that HOUSEMARKET S.A. will continue to use these means of communication for non-commercial communication regarding the use of the IKEA for Business card, the present terms and conditions, the expiration of the card points and the deletion of a member account.
- Compliance with a legal obligation (Article 6, paragraph 1, letter (c) of the GDPR):Some data is kept to comply with legal obligations to which HOUSEMARKET S.A. is subject, such as for tax and accounting purposes or proof of the transactions.
3.1.b. Each IKEA for Business member has the right to access, rectify and update its personal data and it is obliged to promptly notify HOUSEMARKET S.A. of:
- any change of its business email address through its IKEA for Business online account. HOUSEMARKET S.A. shall not be liable in case of no such notification or in case of improper use of the IKEA for Business account, since the business e-mail address may serve as username for the IKEA for Business account (https://www.ikea.gr/en/ikea-for-business/) and as means of member authentication for the IKEA for Business card.
- any company dissolution or business activity disruption linked to the VAT Registration Number used to identify the member.
- any change of member's or business’
3.2. Type and Purpose of Personal Data Processing - Personal Data Recipients - Rights of the Members / Data Subjects
3.2.a. Type and Purpose of Personal Data Processing
The personal data that each member should provide upon its registration in the IKEA for Business program are the following: VAT number, business name, commercial title, business registry number, business e-mail address, business address (street and number, prefecture, city and postal code), form of business, business tax office and business sector. HOUSEMARKET S.A. also collects personal data of the business’ representatives included in certificates of business’ representation.
HOUSEMARKET S.A. collects and processes this data as well as the data generated by the use of the IKEA for Business card for the following legitimate purposes:
- a) for the performance of the terms and conditions of the IKEA for Business program;
- b) for the communication to the member special or general offers, information on HOUSEMARKET S.A.’s products, services, points, purchases and use of the Ikea for Business card;
- c) for providing the rewards program, for analyzing and researching the purchasing trends of business customers (i.e. categories of products selected, frequency of store visits, most preferred products, price range, response to general and personalized offers, etc.), in order to improve our client relationship management and be able to offer products and services that best suit our customer base
- d) to comply with legal obligations to which HOUSEMARKET S.A. is subject such as for tax and accounting purposes or to serve its obligations and legitimate interests, such as cooperation with the judicial and regulatory authorities, to ensure that the Ikea for Business member is actively doing business in Greece.
3.2.b. Data Recipients
For each of the processing activities some data may be transferred to the following parties, as recipients:
- The competent employees of HOUSEMARKET S.A.
- The tax, auditing, judicial, regulatory etc. authorities in case of a relevant audit.
- The company with trade name «Pobuca Sieben ΙΚΕ» which provides customer management services of physical and online stores as well as loyalty card members (CRM) to HOUSEMARKET S.A. and which has undertaken, among other things, the registration, updating and maintenance of the members database as a data processor on behalf of HOUSEMARKET S.A., and according to the specific written instructions given or/and any other company which may provide HOUSEMARKET S.A. with similar data processing services in the future.
- External partners providing call center and data analytics services, which receive the IKEA for Business data under strict organizational and technical measures and procedures for the performance of their duties.
When storing, accessing and/or processing the member’s personal data, the employees and agents of HOUSEMARKET S.A. fully comply with the relevant provisions of the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) as well as with the applicable Greek laws in force and the Greek case law in relation to personal data protection and are bound by confidentiality and data protection agreements.
3.2.c. Data Subject Rights
Each member of the IKEA for Business program, as a data subject, may exercise at any time its rights, as these are provided in the General Data Protection Regulation 679/2016 EU (articles 12 to 23) and in the relevant national data protection laws:
- the right to receive information and to access their data stored and processed by HOUSEMARKET S.A.
- the right to restrict the processing of their data.
- the right to rectification or erasure of some or all (right to be forgotten) of their personal data.
- the right to object to the processing of their personal data; and
- the right to data portability.
Each member of the IKEA for Business program may exercise their data subject rights as follows:
For the right/obligation to access and receive information or to rectify/complete their personal data: HOUSEMARKET S.A. allows Ikea for Business members to view, rectify/complete their personal data through their personal account at https://www.ikea.gr/en/ikea-for-business/ ("Account Details" section) or to request access, rectification and completion of their data via electronic e-mail through the member’s business email address provided when registering at the electronic address dpo@fourlis.gr.
For the right to obtain a copy of their personal data and the right of data portability, HOUSEMARKET S.A. allows Ikea for Business members to obtain a copy of their personal data or/and to transmit their personal data to another data controller in a structured format by submitting the relevant request through the member’s business email address provided when registering to the e-mail address: ikeaforbusiness@ikea.gr, or dpo@fourlis.gr. The fist copy of the data requested shall be provided at no charge, while for any subsequent copies HOUSEMARKET S.A. may impose a fee based on administrative costs. The right of data portability is restricted by the GDPR (Article 6, paragraph 1, letter c) in some processing activities, such as when the processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which HOUSEMARKET S.A. is subject.
For the right to restrict the processing of the Ikea for Business card data, the right to erase in part or in its entirety (right to be forgotten) the Ikea for Business card data and the right to object to the processing of the Ikea for Business card data, the Ikea for Business member may submit the relevant request through the member’s business email address provided when registering to the e-mail address: ikeaforbusiness@ikea.gr or dpo@fourlis.gr.
When a member submits a data right request, HOUSEMARKET S.A. shall take any possible measure to ensure the satisfaction of the request within one (1) month as of the date of a valid data subject request. If additional time is required for HOUSEMARKET S.A. to satisfy such request, it will inform the IKEA For Business member as soon as possible for the extension of this period. Members should also be aware that when exercising the data subject rights HOUSEMARKET S.A. may need to verify the identity of the data subject to ensure that the applicant is indeed the data subject concerned.
Each Ikea for Business member may request the deletion of its account by submitting the relevant request through the member’s business email address provided at member registration at the e-mail address: ikeaforbusiness@ikea.gr, or dpo@fourlis.gr.
In the event of deletion of a member account from the IKEA for Business program, HOUSEMARKET S.A. will retain all member’s data for thirty (30) days from the day of its deletion. All IKEA for Business members should also take into account that even after that period, HOUSEMARKET S.A. will retain tax data related to the member’s purchases in order to address any tax issues, as well as some essential membership data in order to prove the lawfulness of processing and HOUSEMARKET S.A.’s legitimate interests (e.g. business e-mail address, VAT Number in encrypted form, the date of registration and deletion from the rewards program, the deletion request and the contact information for the purpose of marketing communication, as long as the member has not objected to such communication).
Each Ikea for Business member can manage the marketing communication options and the means of communication (such as e-mail, SMS, Viber) through their personal account in https://www.ikea.gr/en/ikea-for-business/ under the tab "Data Management" or by sending an email through the member’s business email address provided when registering at the electronic address ikeaforbusiness@ikea.gr or dpo@fourlis.gr.
The IKEA for Business members are notified and aware of the following: Taking into consideration the nature of the IKEA for Business program as well as the fact that it is impossible to operate without the processing of the member's personal data, the exercise of any of the above rights, in particular the right to object or restrict the processing and the right to erase in part or in its entirety the Ikea for Business card data will signify the termination of the present contractual agreement, the termination of the membership in the IKEA for Business program and the erasure of the earned points within thirty (30) days of the submission of such request.
The deletion of the member of the IKEA for Business program means the automatic deletion of the member's account from the IKEA website. The deletion of the member of the IKEA for Business program does not affect any member’s account in the IKEA Family program and/or in the IKEA e-shop.
3.2.d. Data Retention Period: The personal data of the Ikea for Business members will be retained until the member requests the deletion of its account. Nevertheless, still some essential personal data relating to the transactions of the member shall be retained as a proof for the lawful processing of data by HOUSEMARKET S.A. and for safeguarding any legal rights of the parties.
3.2.e. Special Category Data: For the purposes of this processing, HOUSEMARKET S.A. does not collect, nor demands the disclosure of sensitive personal data (special category data).
3.2.f. Transparency obligation: For any information on personal data, the data processing activities and protection of the data, the data subject may contact the Data Protection Officer (DPO) of HOUSEMARKET S.A. by sending an email at the electronic address dpo@fourlis.gr and if it considers the response given it is not adequate, the data subject has the right to file a complaint before the competent supervisory authority (Data Protection Authority, www.dpa.gr, Kifisias 1-3, P.C. 115 23, Athens, tel. 210 6475600, https://www.dpa.gr/el/syndesi/polites/kataggelia).
3.2.g. Technical and Organisational Measures: HOUSEMARKET S.A., its processors and agents are contractually bound to implement the appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure to the best degree possible the protection of the personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction or loss, alteration, unlawful disclosure or access and, generally, to ensure its lawful processing (including any remote data access) as well as to secure data availability and access. These measures are intended to establish a level of security that corresponds to the risks presented by the data processing in question, taking into account the nature and criticality of the specific data, the technological developments, the cost of implementation and the nature, scope, context and purposes of each particular processing, by implementing procedures for the regular testing, assessment and evaluation of the effectiveness of those techniques and organizational measures.
In any case, HOUSEMARKET S.A., its processors and its proxies or agents are contractually bound to maintain the confidentiality of personal data and not to share it or allow access to it to any third party without the prior notification of the data subject except in cases where expressly provided by law.
Within the context of the IKEA for Business program, HOUSEMARKET S.A. may conduct joint marketing offers in collaboration with third parties for the of IKEA for Business members. Such joint marketing offers will be conducted without transferring or sharing members’ personal data. The members’ personal data will not be used for any other purpose than those stated in these terms without prior notification, and, where necessary, explicit consent by the data subject.
4. TERMS FOR THE REDEMPTION OF POINTS OF THE IKEA FOR BUSINESS PROGRAM
The member is entitled to redeem its points, provided that its registration has been approved as described above, and the respective balance of the credited and available points on its card is at least equal to the number of points listed in the amount of the discount selected by the member. In no case shall the member have negative points in the IKEA for Business card nor shall negative points be generated from point redemption transactions. Point redemption transactions are excluded from the right to a refund. IKEA for Business points cannot be redeemed for cash. In order for the IKEA for Business member to be entitled to any discount, it should purchase products of a higher value than the nominal value of the discount. It should be noted that HOUSEMARKET S.A. reserves the right to change the IKEA for Business rewards program, at its own discretion.
The redemption of points as regards the purchases made in the IKEA e-shop shall be calculated on the shopping cart’s page and the points shall be deducted at the same time when the order is completed in the webpage IKEA.gr. IKEA for Business card points cannot be redeemed for cash, have no cash value and no change will be given.
The redemption of earned points in the HOUSEMARKET S.A. physical stores is carried out by displaying the IKEA for Business plastic card or by displaying the IKEA for Business electronic card through the mobile phone application "IKEA Greece", accompanied by a statement of the VAT number linked to the card. Points cannot be redeemed for purchases with a retail receipt.
The redemption of earned points in the IKEA e-shop is carried out by logging in the IKEA for Business account using the member’s access code.
In case the member earns points forma purchase and then returns all or some of the products from that purchase, then the points corresponding to the amount of the refund will be deducted from his account, if the purchase amount is refunded. In the event that the member returns a product from a transaction involving the redemption of points, the points redeemed cannot be returned to its card.
The IKEA for Business card points are valid towards qualifying purchases made in any HOUSEMARKET S.A. store, including the Greek IKEA e-shop. The IKEA for Business card points cannot be used towards purchases of any services (such as the assembly service, the delivery of goods etc.).
Each time the IKEA for Business member redeems points for a discount, these points are deducted from its account.
In case that the plastic IKEA for Business card is worn or damaged, it will be replaced with a new one, which will be activated in the IKEA e-shop∙ in such case, the remaining points will be transferred to the new IKEA for Business member card. In case the IKEA for Business card is stolen or lost, the member should inform HOUSEMARKET S.A. the soonest possible. Any points already redeemed before replacement cannot be replaced.
5. OTHER TERMS
HOUSEMARKET S.A. shall not be liable for any initial or subsequent, positive or consequential, direct or indirect damages which arise out of or are in any way connected with the IKEA for Business program. In any case any liability shall be limited solely to the re-credit of any lost points to the IKEA for Business member’s card. HOUSEMARKET S.A. is not responsible for any damage to the member, the other members of the program or third parties due to false or inaccurate statements by the member, especially regarding his/her personal information.
The present terms constitute the sole and entire contractual agreement governing the relationship between HOUSEMARKET S.A. and the IKEA for Business members. The present terms supersede any prior understandings or agreements (whether oral or written) regarding the IKEA for Business program and will apply until any subsequent amendment by HOUSEMARKET S.A. Such amendment, in order to be valid, shall be communicated to the IKEA for Business members or be published on the IKEA for Business program website (https://www.ikea.gr/en/ikea-for-business/).
The present terms are valid and applicable for the members of the IKEA for Business program in Greece, governing the relationship between HOUSEMARKET S.A. and the IKEA for Business members as of the 6th of February 2023, after update of these terms on the 10th of July 2024.
The present terms are governed by the Greek Law and the competent Courts of Athens shall have exclusive jurisdiction for any matter related to them.
